How Long Does a Binance Deposit Take? Arrival Times Vary Widely
After depositing to Binance, the most anxiety-inducing part is waiting. Different cryptocurrencies and chains have vastly different arrival times — understanding this will keep you calm.
What Determines Arrival Time
Deposit crediting isn't controlled by Binance — it depends on the blockchain's own confirmation speed. Each cryptocurrency runs on a different blockchain with unique confirmation mechanisms. Binance requires a minimum number of confirmations for each coin before crediting.
If you don't have an account, register on Binance first.
Arrival Time Reference by Cryptocurrency
USDT: TRC20: 1-5 minutes. ERC20: 3-10 minutes (12 confirmations). BEP20: 1-3 minutes. BTC: 10-60 minutes (1 confirmation, longer during congestion). ETH: 3-10 minutes (12 confirmations). BNB: BEP20, typically minutes. XRP: About 1-3 minutes.
Why It's Sometimes Slow
Network congestion: High transaction volume during volatile markets causes queuing. Low miner fees: If sent from a wallet with too-low fees, the transaction stays pending. Binance maintenance: Occasional wallet maintenance temporarily pauses deposits.
Check status anytime in the Binance app.
How to Check Deposit Progress
In the Binance app: "Assets" → "Deposit History." Each record shows status, confirmation progress (e.g., "6/12"), and details.
Pre-Deposit Preparation
Choose the right network: For USDT, prefer TRC20 — fast and cheap. Test with small amounts first. Confirm address and network match on both sides.
FAQ
Over an hour and still not credited?
Normal for BTC during congestion. For USDT on TRC20, check the transaction hash on the blockchain explorer.
Credited but balance unchanged?
Check whether funds went to "Funding Account" vs "Trading Account." Deposits go to the funding account by default.
Security Reminder
Always enter through Binance official channels. Copy deposit addresses from the app only. If an address looks different from before, Binance may have updated it — use the latest one. Report any deposit issues through the Binance app support — don't trust anyone who DMs you claiming to be "support."
